Tell us about your event

Send us your date and headcount through the booking form below and our team will follow up to schedule a walkthrough.

Book your date

Secure it with a signed contract and a 50% deposit. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your event.

We handle the rest

An onsite venue chaperone, table and chair setup and breakdown, and a final walkthrough the week of - so you can just show up.

THE PRESS ROOM's more than 5,000 sq. ft. of unique event space sits in the heart of the vibrant theater district, on photogenic, gorgeous Opera Alley. Natural light, market lights, and expansive ceilings create a stunning ambiance for corporate events, networking events, galas, wedding ceremonies and receptions, milestone celebrations, workshops, birthday parties, photoshoots, and more.

We've lovingly curated unique decor and visual delights around every corner - a newly reclaimed urban rustic masterpiece, restored with unmatched craftsmanship. And it's LGBTQIA+ friendly, pet friendly, and a genuinely great fit for corporate events too.

A Piece of Tacoma's History

This space housed the presses of the Tacoma Daily Ledger.

From the early part of the 20th century, this building held the printing presses for the Tacoma Daily Ledger and the Tacoma News Tribune - the voice of Tacoma during its golden age of print media. Today it's a wedding and event venue, restored with reclaimed woods and metals that keep that history in the room with you.

Best of all, you're on the most photographic street in downtown Tacoma: murals and brightly colored buildings on Opera Alley itself, a water view just outside, one block from the Spanish Steps and the historic McMenamins Elks Temple, and three blocks from Wright Park.

Getting Ready

A stunning bridal suite for your special day.

Two separate wedding-party suites with a VIP area, full bathroom, wardrobe closet, and full-length mirrors - so both sides of the wedding party get their own space to get ready before the big moment.

Exclusive Catering & Bar

Jonz Catering handles the food, we handle the room.

All food and beverage service at The Press Room comes from our award-winning sister company, Jonz Catering. Bring your own licensed planner, florist, or photographer - we keep a list of Tacoma favorites who already know the space.

Before You Book

A few questions we hear a lot.

What's your capacity?

Up to 350 standing, or 150 seated for dinner plus 50 more in the mezzanine.

What's the deposit?

50% plus tax with a signed contract; the balance is due 30 days before your event.

Do I have to use your caterer?

Yes for food and beverage - Jonz Catering is exclusive. Every other vendor is your choice.
